India overtakes New Zealand to take the top position in the World Test Championship rankings

<p>India replaced the Kiwis with a higher points percentage of 64.58 after defeating England by five wickets in the fourth Test in Ranchi to grab an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series.</p>
<p>India has 62 points from eight games (five wins, two defeats, and one tie), while the Black Caps have 36 points from five games (three wins, two losses) and a point percentage of 60.00.</p>
<p>With 36 points from four games and a 75-point percentage heading into the Wellington Test, New Zealand was leading the pack.</p>
<p>However, the 2021 World T20 Champions lost the top rank after their crushing 172-run loss, falling to the No. 2 slot with a points percentage of 60.</p>
<p>Third position After the Wellington Test, Australia gained 12 significant points, allowing them to cut the margin to 78 points from 11 games (seven victories, three defeats, and one tie). Additionally, their proportion of points has gone up from 55 to 59.09.</p>
