<p>In today’s Women’s Premier League match, the Mumbai Indians defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven wickets thanks to the seamless coordination of their bowlers and hitters.</p>

<p>In only 3.5 overs, Hayley Matthews (26 off 21 balls) and Yastika Bhatia (31 off 15 balls) scored 45 runs for the first wicket, laying the groundwork for the chase.</p>
<p>With 29 balls remaining to complete the 132-run mark, the following hitters took advantage of the strong start to score a superb victory and move to the top of the table with six points.</p>
<p>The MI bowlers were economical, limiting the RCB to a meek 131/6.</p>
<p>With a boundary off pacer Renuka Singh in the first ball, Bhatia set the Mumbai chase ablaze. The arrival of Sophie Molineux encouraged her to step up her aggressiveness even more.</p>
<p>The left-hander drove the left-arm spinner beyond point for a four after smashing her for a six over the deep midwicket. Bhatia wasn’t only about strength, however, as she also displayed a delicious touch, such as a fluid back-foot punch off Sophie Devine. However, Richa Ghosh, a stumper, snagged Bhatia’s drive away from her body by diving to her left, giving Devine the last laugh.</p>
<p>After hitting a six off Georgia Wareham over midwicket, Matthews was out of luck when off-spinner Shreyanka Patil struck her with an uppish drive straight to Smriti Mandhana. From that point on, MI required 63 runs, but stand-in skipper Nat-Sciver Brunt (27 off 25 balls) and Amelia Kerr (40 not out off 27 balls) added 49 runs for the third wicket with a combination of late cutters, reverse sweeps, and pulls with scarcely any effort.</p>
<p>Had MI not chosen to bowl first, Elyse Perry (44 not out off 38 balls) and Wareham (27 off 20 balls) would not have combined 52 runs for the sixth wicket, putting RCB in further danger.</p>
