What began in the humble village of Harra asmall village near meerut in wester UTTARPRADESH, has grown into a legacy that touches thousands of lives across India and beyond. Dr. R.A. Chaudhary(Riyasat Ali) , the Founder and Chairman of the ACN Group of Institutions, has emerged as a pioneer in private medical education in Uttar Pradesh and NCR, breaking barriers and building futures through determination, innovation, and an unwavering belief in the power of education.
A first-generation graduate from his village, Dr. R. A. Chaudhary(Riyasat ali) began his academic journey in the early 1980s at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). It was here that he sensed the pressing need for more accessible institutions of higher education—a realization that would go on to define his life’s work.
In 1993, he founded the Aligarh Unani and Ayurvedic Medical College, a groundbreaking institution that became the first private college in the region to offer both BUMS (Unani) and BAMS (Ayurveda) under one roof—a feat not achieved since the days of Hakim Ajmal Khan’s Tibbia College. The model revolutionized private-sector medical education.
As national regulations evolved, Mr. Chaudhary adapted. In 2007, his visionary institution was reorganized into two distinct colleges:
- Aligarh Ayurvedic Medical College & ACN Hospital (Anoopshahar Road)
- Aligarh Unani Medical College & ACN Hospital (ACN City, Kasimpur Road)
Beyond medicine, the ACN Group of Institutions has expanded into multiple disciplines, including Management, Nursing, Engineering, Computer Applications, and International Schooling, creating a truly interdisciplinary learning environment.
Dr. R.A. Chaudhary’s efforts have earned him widespread recognition, including an Honorary Ph.D., honoring his academic contributions and his role as a transformative leader.
Today, his legacy is actively upheld by his three sons:
- Dr. Zeeshan Chaudhary and Adv. Faizan Chaudhary—leading the Indian operations
- Zubyan Chaudhary—managing international expansion from Singapore
Dr. R.A. Chaudhary’s favorite mantra, “Great things begin with small actions,” resonates in every classroom, clinic, and corridor of the institutions he has built—each one a tribute to the dreams of a village boy who believed in education as the greatest form of empowerment.
