Ricky Gervais, the former host of the Golden Globes and co-creator of The Office, has won the Best Stand-Up Comedian on Television award for his Netflix show Armageddon.
Concerning Oppenheimer
With World War II as a backdrop, the biography tells the tale of Oppenheimer, the man known as the “Father of the Atomic Bomb.” It explores a crucial historical event when Oppenheimer decided to go forward with the blast even though he was aware of the potentially disastrous effects of testing the atomic bomb.

‘Oppenheimer’ is played by Cillian Murphy, who plays a lead for the first time in a Christopher Nolan picture. Murphy has been a regular feature in Christopher Nolan’s films, having had significant cameos in films including “Inception,” “Batman Begins,” “The Dark Knight,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” and “Dunkirk.”

Kenneth Branagh, Benny Safdie, Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, Alden Ehrenreich, Josh Peck, Jason Clarke, David Dastmalchian, Alex Wolff, James D’Arcy, and Rami Malek are among the ensemble cast members. In addition to Matt Damon and Emily Blunt as Kitty Oppenheimer and Robert Downey Jr. as Lewis Strauss, Florence Pugh plays Jean Tatlock in the movie. The star-studded cast of the biopic was released on July 21.
